Note: Our online registration through Eventbrite will ask you about the quantity of "tickets" you want, but, for our purpose, each "ticket" is equal to one volunteer slot. A group of ten people should ask for 10 tickets. Volunteers ages 14 and under DO NOT need a "ticket" as they will be accompanying their parents.

Event Details

KEY VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

Lane Assistants:

· A minimum of 1 or 2 will be assigned per lane.

· Learns the name of the athletes and assists them to bowl in the correct order on the correct lane.

· Counts the pins knocked down and compares to the monitor count.

· At the end of the competition, escorts the athletes to the awards staging area.

· Needs minimal bowling knowledge.

Lane Monitors:

·   Monitors and assists the volunteer working on the lane with problems such as scoring, bowlers out of turn, broken lanes, etc.

· Monitors the lanes assigned and alert the competition director of any problems with athletes, families or volunteers.

· Assigned to monitor 6 - 8 lanes.

· Needs some bowling knowledge.

Scorekeepers:

·   One will be assigned per pit.

·   Counts the pins knocked down and compares to the monitor count.

·   When the game is finished, manually writes down the score on the heat sheets provided.

·   Delivers the completed heat sheets to the scorer’s table for final tabulations.

·   Needs minimal bowling knowledge.

Awards:

· Assist in the set up of the awards area.

· Assist in staging of athletes. Assist in awarding athletes.

ATTIRE: Please dress for comfort and mobility. Shorts, a tee shirt and tennis shoes are the most comfortable attire and absolutely acceptable. We suggest you wear comfortable shoes because you will be on your feet most of the time. 

PARKING: General parking is available at Showplace Lanes.

For security purposes, please make sure to bring a current photo ID with you to the volunteer check-in area.
